After 1 month’s use they developed a hole in seat area of the shorts. They refused to repair them as they deemed the repair was caused by abrasion. From their email:

After inspection, we have deemed that this issues occurred as a result of abrasion damage, rather than a fault with the components, materials or construction of the product.

In light of the above, I am afraid we are unable to offer you a refund or replacement.

If sitting on a bicycle saddle is likely to cause abrasion the I am guilty. However, surely cycling shorts to be hard wearing especially on the contact points?

Absolutely appalled with the customer service of Vulpine. If your happy with their products fair play, otherwise if you are thinking of buying them, avoid.

I’ve bought several items from Vulpine and the quality has been spot-on apart from some loose stitching on a T-shirt. I emailed them and had a replacement in my hand within 48 hours. ’nuff said.
If Carlsberg made clothing companies…

Sadly that pair do seem to have slipped through the QC net. It does hapen very occasionally but it makes my blood run cold! I haven’t seen ones with problems like that before and its certainly not normal or acceptable.
Just send them back to us and we’ll swap for a proper pair!
Thanks for the great review otherwise.
Nick.

If you do get caught in a downpour, the Humvee dries quicker, and is more comfortable – I wonder if the same kind of trade off is happening with the Vulpine fabric, maybe?
